Twice a month, I write about civic life and what re-formation looks like in practice. Some issues profile builders and stewards doing work worth knowing about. Some apply the re-formation framework to what is actually happening in civic life right now. Some draw on history to illuminate the present. What they share is a common question: what does civic re-formation actually require, and who is doing it?

The aim is not commentary. It is a living record of the argument in practice, honest about difficulty, attentive to what is actually working, and written for people who are doing the work or thinking seriously about doing it.

Know someone doing the work of civic re-formation in your community? I’d like to hear about them.
